PROVIDING DISABLED
INDIVIDUALS WITH
A PLACE TO CALL HOME.
Who We Are
The Isaiah James Foundation is a public charity (501-C3) an organization of dedicated individuals who aim to serve the disabled community.
The housing situation for the disabled community is currently inadequate and we believe they deserve better.
In order to address this issue, Isaiah James would like to provide affordable housing and wrap-around services to those who have disabilities.
MEET OUR FOUNDER
Nykita has served in the community for 40 years as a mentor and volunteer for youth. Her commitment and dedication to serving those in and around the community speak volumes about her character. As a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Dekalb County she has aided in the support of children who are deprived of love, guidance, emotional and financial support.
She believes “we are one in the body of Christ” and everyone can use a little help. Her comprehensive service record is exceptional. Ms. Hurt has organized and participated in efforts to stop the sex trafficking of youth in metro Atlanta by holding workshops, and forums, to educate parents on the dangers involving the sex trade industry. Funding for search and rescue efforts to bring missing youth home were personally financed by Ms. Hurt. Her service efforts are continuous, in the winter months, Nykita collects coats and prepares hot food to deliver to the homeless. Annually she hosts events to collect toiletries, shoes, clothing for local shelters in metro Atlanta and families in Haiti, Brazil, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas. Her philanthropy is extended to The American Cancer Society; The American Kidney Foundation; Meals on Wheels and St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
Nykita Hurt has dedicated herself and her family to serve the underserved.
